From the 1976 Rochester Review: Roman Speegle (1901-1977) was a member of the University's then Department of Physical Education from 1926 until his retirement in 1963 when he was named professor emeritus of physical education.
Louis Albion Alexander was the coach and Athletics Director at the University of Rochester from 1931 till 1966. Alexander coached at the University of Connecticut for eight years prior to coming to Rochester in 1931 with his wife and four children.
