Dr. Kathrine Koller (1903-1993), an authority on 17th century English literature, was the first woman head of a major department at the University of Rochester.
John W. Remington was a member of the class of 1917. He graduated from Harvard Law School in 1921 and soon began working at the Lincoln Rochester Trust Company. In 1954 he was named president of Lincoln Rochester.
Charles R. Dalton '20, '43G, worked as a “field secretary” – a position which connected the admissions office with high schools, beginning in 1929, and then served as Alumni Secretary until 1944, when he became director of Admissions and Student Aid.
